Description
Conqueror Geodesic Tent ā 2-Person Expedition Model
Setup / Takedown
One potential drawback of the Conqueror tent is its setup time. Like all geodesic tents, the inner tent must be erected before attaching the outer fly. Supported by six poles, setup naturally takes longer than a simpler tunnel tent with three poles.
The inner tent hooks onto the poles, which makes assembly easier than sleeve-based systems. Large hooks connect two poles at each intersection, though with gloves or mittens, this can be tricky. Practice improves efficiency, but in stormy conditions, setup will always require more attention and time than a tunnel tent. Compared to other geodesic tents like the Helium or VE25, the setup time difference is minimal.
A cord loop on the inner tentās red corner strap clips to a corresponding strap on the fly, serving as the first anchor point and helping align the fly. Velcro attachments on the fly allow it to be secured to the poles, though this system can be slow to use.
Interior Comfort
With a maximum height of 130 cm and fairly vertical walls, the inner tentās volume is exceptional. It comfortably fits three people for expeditions up to 2ā3 weeks. There are 10 storage pockets, and the two inner doors (115 Ć 80 cm) can be stowed conveniently on ceiling clips. A second zipper slider on each door would allow simultaneous opening for easier access.
The vestibules are smaller than tunnel tents but fairly functional for a geodesic design. Two equal-sized vestibules provide about 2.9 m² of storage, though the angled walls reduce usable volume compared to a tunnel tent. Zippers on vestibule doors allow versatile opening configurations depending on weather. The inner tentās light gray walls and the dark orange fly create a pleasant, bright interior.
Ventilation
The tent is well-ventilated: four adjustable vents on the fly plus four vents via vestibule zippers, and four fully closable vents in the inner tent. The non-zippered fly vents close with small Velcro tabs; snow intrusion is minimal.

Overall Impression
The Conqueror is highly stable and comfortable for a geodesic tent. Setup requires more time than a tunnel tent but rewards users with superior structural integrity. With exceptional interior volume and thoughtful features, itās one of the most comfortable geodesic tents for 2ā3 person expeditions, though vestibule space is somewhat limited.
This tent is ideal for serious expeditions, offering strong wind resistance, excellent interior comfort, and durable construction for extended trips in challenging conditions.
